Renovating the National Maritime Museum

In this 51 minute documentary you witness the renovation of The National Maritime Museum (Het Scheepvaartmuseum) in Amsterdam, executed from 2008 – 2012. Dutch writers Nelleke Noordervliet and Thomas Roosenboom were present at every step in the process; from the first draft, the building of the spectacular glass ceiling in the courtyard, the final interior decoration and the royal vernissage in 2012.

Het Scheepvaartmuseum has been completely renovated, but still exudes history and is a beautifully imposing and impressive building in the heart of Amsterdam.
